  • aliasing problem in DVX-100 24PA footage when blown up for integration with HD

I am cutting a film with footage shot on a DVX-100 (24PA, 16×9 letterboxed) and a Sony EX-1 (HD, 1280×720 ). In Final Cut, I have the sequence set for the EX-1 footage, so I have to blow up the DVX footage significantly to match the HD footage in resolution, and when I do so with a motion filter in Final Cut, I get a lot of aliasing problems in the DVX footage. Is there any better way to blow up the MiniDV footage from the DVX and then put it into Final Cut so I don’t get the aliasing problems? I’m not used to my DVX footage looking bad, so it really pains me the way it is turning out right now.
