I am working in FCP 7 with a sequence that is prores 422 (1920×1080) 29.97 and using lots of text created in the built-in Boris Title 3D. I have checked all parameters and everything matches between the created text and the sequence. Yet, there is a subtle aliasing on the edges of the text.

Has anybody noticed this and, if so, have they discovered a way to eliminate it?

    thanks,

    mike

How are you monitoring? Is this in the FCP canvas or on a real honest to goodness video monitor?

If you say “the canvas,” make sure the canvas is set to display at precisely 100%.

We’re seeing in both the canvas and two external NTSC monitors.

It only seems to be an issue with italicized text (which is almost all of it). Is that normal?
