Activity Forums Adobe Premiere Pro Aliased ProRes 422 Video in Premiere Pro CS6

    Shawn, just out of curiousity, do you have an external monitor. And how does it look on it? I’m really curious because I’m still a FCP 7 user and know how that works. Meaning, you can’t always judge how things look on your computer monitor. Even using an TV as a client monitor works to help give a better representation of what your finished piece will look like. This allows the I/O card to do the heavy lifting rather than your GFX card and your computer monitor.

    OS 10.6.7, Mac Pro 2 x 3 ghz quad-core intel xenon, 4 gb ram and AJA IoHD

    Here it is 2016. Comparing my Ex1 footage rendered as ProRes422HQ in Premiere Pro and then rendering the same footage in FCP and their is a big difference in quality. The PRoRes rendered in FCP looks much better.

    I am miffed.
