December 17, 2012 at 5:12 pmShawn, just out of curiousity, do you have an external monitor. And how does it look on it? I’m really curious because I’m still a FCP 7 user and know how that works. Meaning, you can’t always judge how things look on your computer monitor. Even using an TV as a client monitor works to help give a better representation of what your finished piece will look like. This allows the I/O card to do the heavy lifting rather than your GFX card and your computer monitor.

June 21, 2016 at 10:15 pmHere it is 2016. Comparing my Ex1 footage rendered as ProRes422HQ in Premiere Pro and then rendering the same footage in FCP and their is a big difference in quality. The PRoRes rendered in FCP looks much better.
I am miffed.
