Alexa and greenscreen
Planning a greenscreen studio shoot. The studio offers canon c300 and the alexa. I would assume that the alexa would be the better choice for keying (as well as general image quality). But thought I’d check in with people who’ve had experience with this. The budget can allow for the Alexa rental, and since I’ve never worked with one, I’m anxious to give it a try. (There will be a camera op provided by studio as well.) Also, I assumed ProRes would be good enough for this—wouldn’t need to deal with RAW.
This is a very simple one person-in-front-of-green-screen-no-props situation.
Any thoughts?

I would recommend the ARRI but without RAW option, it would be over kill. We use the Alexa in the studio and most cases of talking heads we don’t even opt for the 444 ProRez option but use 422HQ which produces fantastic results.
Color science is fantastic so results are very easy to deal with, just be careful with the color temperature. Otherwise its as easy as plug and play.
