Albeton Live Lite & M-Audio Transit
Just got a mac mini and of course it has no audio inputs. I am doing my own podcasts and I want to use the mini for all my podcast needs. I was thinking of purchasing the Transit for my external input device and it comes with Albeton Live Lite. Curious if anyone has used either or both and what their opinion is. I have read lots of negative feedback on the iMic. Wondered if upgrading to the Transit was worth the money. I have an 8 channel Mackie that will have five mics running in it and from there it will go to the Transit into the mini. Any suggestions for a better input? The quality doesn’t have to be pristine but quality does matter to me. Thanks a million.

My favorite affordable 2 channel interface is the MobilePre from M-audio (https://m-audio.com/products/en_us/MobilePreUSB-main.html). For more channels take a look at the Traveler from Motu (https://www.motu.com/products/motuaudio/traveler) and for simple podcasts take a look at the C01U from Samson (https://www.samsontech.com/products/productpage.cfm?prodID=1810&brandID=2) I have ordered one, but it is not here yet so I can’t comment on quality.
