    so i am trying to capture some footage in to FCP7 from the AJHD1400, im not sure how the video was shot other than it being in HD. when i put the tape in to the deck and go to playback i keep getting E00 ive looked up the error but dont know what the servo is, can anyone please help a newbie to video editing? thanks in advance.

    Jerell,

    I’ve long since gotten rid of my 1200 and 1400 decks, but my recollection of that error is that you’ve go a dirty read head. There is also a green/yellow/red warning indicator; red means bad. Cleaning the heads on this deck is a little tricky; sometimes a cleaning tape works, but usually the only satisfactory solution for me was a trip to Panasonic factory service.
