[Bob Zelin] “The hell with free firmware upgrades – I want candy !”

    Bob
long ago are the days when the post houses offered “candy” to their clients and coworkers.
I am beginning to think you spend way too much time in South Florida.

We now prefer it in the more refined cacao state.
unless you count the starbucks and red bull post junkies out there.

I think that’s quite possibly the funniest thing you might have ever committed to disk, Gary.

Long ago you say? I have a complete chocolate bar in my shop. Seriously. If I didn’t, clients would complain. We even have YooHoo!

    Chocolate, it’s always in style!

Yes your team certainly does rock, and i am by no means trying to break up the well deserved love fest, but i must bring everyones attention to an adjacent post topic regarding this new SD to SD feature not working for all.

    https://forums.creativecow.net/cgi-bin/new_read_post.cgi?univpostid=861212&forumid=98&postid=861212&pview=t

while it seems that only myself and JeremyG have spoken up regarding this, and i have yet to call you guys directly due to lack of a chance to (but i will try to Wednesday), but for some of us this truly great (when working) feature is just not working at all…

as i posted in my other thread:

“On both the IN and Out, turning on any of the SD to SD conversions, i am not getting a working signal.
I would compare what it looks like to lets say when you send a Pal or HD signal to a monitor which can not process it correctly.
I have reinstalled the software, and flashed the Firmware. I assumed it would work as simply as the Kona’s ability to up and down convert HD under the Secondary Format section of the Control Panel.”

So Bob, David, and Walter, i take it that you have all tested it out and it works perfectly for you?

Hopefully both Jeremy and I dont have a defect in our Kona2…? There must be something else that is a miss…..

    Hello,

Please call our support group when you have a chance. Based on your posts, we today again verified that KONA 2 is working with this SD-SD anamorphic function, so perhaps there is another reason for the issues you are seeing. Our support department will be happy to help, and the feedback and resolution will be good for us to log as well.

    Thank you,

It has to be the real thing. It can’t a cholate “candy” bar. It really has to be fine chocolate from Belgium or Venezuela.

I am so happy for this thread. we have all been able to vent our good nature.

    Peace and Love 🙂

Well, I’m not sure where they make it, but it’s some fine Godiva Chocolates. 🙂
