    AJA – VHS upconvert problems

    Hello

    I am using the Io to capture old VHS and Up Convert it to 1080i so it can be edited with newly shot material. I am using a Sony SVO 5800P VHS player. All I get is a green fuzz and weird blocks insteda of a clear image when I try to capture in FC.

    The AJA control panel, on the Inputs tab, it says there is no video and I cant work out why.

    I am going mad here, any help very much appreciated.

    Thanks for the reply, I’m using and Aja IoHD ………. I have solved the problem Im pleased to say but I’m not that happy with the results. There seems some very noticable noise on skin tones and edges, even when de-interlaced.
    I had some test captures done by someone on a Alchemist Platinum and it didn’t have the noise but it was overall a softer picture. I would really like to solve this noise problem though.
