  • Aja System tests fails on testing FW800-disk

    I’ve just bought a RAID1 enclosure (Raidon GR3630-WSB3)

The drive is formatted with HFS+ non-journaled.

Before starting using it as a scratch disk for Final Cut Pro, I wanted to run some AJA system test to compare speed with our other scratch disks.

But I get no readings? The System Test does place zero byte files on the disk. But no figures over read/write speed is given.

The disk seems to be just fine in Finder, checking with both Disk Utility, Drive Genius 3 and Disk Warrior.

    What might be wrong?

If I try a OWC enclosure with a 2,5″ 1TB disk, AJA System Test works just fine.

Does it matter if I connect over FW or USB? I figure the speed would differ, but sure enough the measurement should work regardless how the disk is connected to my iMac.
