AJA System Test Lite tool for video performance evaluation
Glad I found this forum and need this forum’s expert help.
I am new to video production and learning it. I am evaluating two storage box and using AJA System Test Lite tool for performance evaluation.
Can I please get guidance on how to decipher the tool’s report and the performance graph to determine if the storage met the “no frame drop” and “bandwidth” requirement for a specific Resolution and Codec selected in the tool to test?
Below is an example of the output and can I know how to figure out if the requirement is meet?
Disk Test
Resolution: NTSC
File Size : 4 GB
Codec : 8bit YUV
Drive : /Volumes/Test
Cache : Enabled
Video file: MovieDisk Write Test
Number of frames = 6137
Write rate = 132 frames/second
Write rate = 88 MB/second
Minimum rate = 18 MB/Sec
Maximum rate = 93 MB/Sec[Removed from here the graph for Disk Write Test]
Disk Read Test
Number of frames = 6137
Write rate = 147 frames/second
Write rate = 98 MB/second
Minimum rate = 10 MB/Sec
Maximum rate = 6674 MB/Sec[Removed from here the graph for Disk Read Test]
Thanks for any help
