    Hello!

I just received running footage for 2010 from Kia for our advertising agency. Of course it came on Betacam, so thats where I have a problem. As I just started a few months ago, I’ve never set up Final Cut Pro to capture from the betacam through the AJA card. My question is, what settings do I use for capture?

My system is: BetaCamSP BVW-70, I have an AJA Converter, and A Mac OSX 10.4.11 Quad Core 8GB Ram running Final Cut Pro 6.06, any help would be greatly appreciated as I have deadlines for these commercial spots.

    Thanks,

    Arden

Okay, I ran easy setup on FCP, but I still don’t have video, what could be the problem?

you are not even saying what AJA card you have.

If you have an AJA Kona LHi (the Kona 3 will not input an analog beta signal), you select something like “AJA Kona 8 bit uncompressed”, and go into the AJA Control PAnel (do you know what that is – do you know how to select the Control Panel?), and on the input tab, select ANALOG Component Betacam.
