AJA Kona AECS3 RAM playback issue
After updating my AJA software 6.0 I no longer can get real time playback from AE in the RAM player and there seems to be some reference issue where it continually defaults to NTSC.
I have completley removed and reinstalled all Kona products , and when they are not on the system playback is fine, through computer monitor only. Yet when the software is installed neither video preview or monitor preview work, playback 11.5 fps or so and no refence for the video monitor.
Any body else with similar problems?

This does not relate to the problem, but how is the performance on the Kona 3 card in AE
I’m looking to do a dual boot with mac pro and vista 64 bit and the kona on both sides.
How is editing in final cut with the kona
Does it feel like editing on a hardware system or does it still feel like software editing? -
Editing isnt my primary thing, but there has been a lot of problems this year with FCP quicktime and adobe, in general though upto now the Kona hasnt been at fault its mostly QT issues. Our facility does have 3 Kona stations and they work well enough,but there are too many upgrading and compatibilty issues which as far as I know are less of a problem on Avid based systems or Smokes etc.
I f you have a good workflow with a consistent use of the right codecs and formats it is reliable and very fast it will happily handle 10 bit HD 10180 and downwards
