mac pro – os 10.4.11, 8gig ram,1.5 tera int HD,
PART 1
I cannot connect to my AJA IOHD with the 800-800 connection
it works great with a 400-800 connection. I have checked cables, i do not have anything else connected and ( as a test)my ext 800 hard drive will connect perfectly.
PART 2
when I edit to tape – native 1080 60i to HD cam the signal is corrupt but when i just playback the timeline and hard record the signal is fine

Tim,
Do yourself a huge favor, call AJA Tech Support. The support team are so incredibly good at what they do that they can brief you on a fix in two minutes that would otherwise take hours potentially to track down. They know everyone else’s hardware too, so you can get very helpful advice on menu VCR settings etc. if that’s an issue.
