    Hey all,

Did a search but couldn’t find anything about this issue that has recently occurred.

    SYSTEM SPECS
    AJA IO
HUGE SYSTEMS 800 GIG MEDIA VAULT via Atto Express UL4D
    DUAL 2.0 GIG G5

I monitor my video via the s-video outs of the Aja into my Sony 14inch production monitor.

Recently, I’ve discovered that when I’m playing video, regardless of the codec, everything is fine. When I pause playback in my viewer or canvas, the image is MUCH MUCH BRIGHTER when paused than it is when it is playing back.

Does anyone know why this is? I can’t say that it effects my day to day operation, other than when clients are watching, they always ask, “How come the image just go brighter when you paused it?”

It does make color correction very difficult.

As anyone else discovered this issue? Thanks for replies!!

    Byrd

I had this problem a few months ago and it was fixed by downloading the latest drivers for the Io from AJA.
Wierd thing was that it didn’t do it for some time and then just suddenly started. Possibly after doing an upgrade on the Mac OS? Who knows.
Anyhow, give that a try and see if it helps.
Might check on newer firmware as well. I think there are new drivers and firmware posted at AJA’s website.
