    Remember, a 1.2 TB RAID doesn’t have 1.2 TB of free space (and you always want to leave 10 – 20% empty – never fill it up completely).

    Thanks for the link Tony. Yes, I know about NOT slamming the drives till they burp 🙂 Not enough actual breathing room in the raid if you try to fill it up. I’m just trying to get a close enough estimate to what we need to actually ingest into the system. Plus I’ll be needing back up drives on this project, so I need to double my storage.
