AJA IO “Output Video in Progress”
We have an Original AJA IO (SD) firewire 400 unit.
Occasionally when we try to output in FCP we get a message on our computer screen “Out of Video in Progress” and a Green video signal and no audio out of the AJA.
We have two machines in our suite, and when this happens, both CPUS exhibit this behavior.
Only leaving the systems powered down for an extended period seems to resolve this.
Any ideas?
Someone suggested it might be heat related.
It’s not in ant kind of special machine room. Just in a rack here in our office.

When you say output, do you mean to tape?

Please give way more information about what codec, what deck, and how you are physically performing the Edit to tape.
