AJA IO HD 1080/25 uncompressed not working !!!
Hey everyone,
I have a small problem. Was wondering if you guys can give me a helping hand.
Last Sunday I was filming an interview on a Sony HDWF 900 (full hd).
So I thought it would be quiet helpful to take the HD-SDI out from the cam and to connect it to the Hd Io, in order to capture the Int. live on my HDD with Final Cut Pro.But soon as I wanted to capture in 1080/25 uncompressed final cut wasn’t able to capture it !
the capturing stopped after 3-5 sec.
can anyone help me ??
my setup : Mac Pro 8 Core x 2,8 Ghz / 10 GB RAM / 3,5 TB HDD
AJA IO HD FW 800 one port connected to Mac Pro
the other FW ports were not in use.
BNC-HD Cable 2 m LongBut as soon as I started to capture in ProRes 1080/25 there were no problems.

The ioHD cannot capture uncomprssed
material as the data rate is too high for a fw800 connection. Capturing to ProRes or HQ should yield sufficient quality for you.Jeremy

The IoHD is only certified for capture of Uncompressed SD content, not HD, HD capture is limited to ProRes only.
This is due to the bandwidth limitations of the FW Buss so No. you cannot move than much data in realtime.
