AJA IO, FCP 5, and DVCPRO930 Deck RS422
Has anyone successfully been able to “edit to tape” via RS 422 and the AJSD930?
Ironically, I was able to black and code with the Sony machine control instruction set, but couldnt get the deck to respond going into record with assemble mode.
I was not able to get the Panasonic machine control set to talk to the deck AT ALL for anything!
Help! 🙂

It’s been a long time since I dealt with this, but I’m pretty sure the problem
is the frame offset that you need to set for the IO. (5 frames?)Use the Panasonice deck setup, but change your playback offset to zero. The canvas and
output will be out of sync, but it will lay to tape fine.I’m not in front of our system right now, but I think this was the ultimate solution. We also
use a 930 deck…Jason
