AJA IO dropped frames?
So I am attempting to capture some VHS footage through composite n a AJA IO. I kepp getting drop frames at the start and end of the video. More specifically whenever the video goes from pure black to an image the system drops frames and aborts the capture. I tried both an external FW800 drive and an internal drive. once the video is playing I get no more drop fraes so I don’t think it is the disk. Is the start of the image causing some type of sync loss or something?

I’d think you’d have better luck if you start your capture into the picture, and not on blank tape.
