AJA iO and QT problems
This sounds kinda similar to some other posts about camera recognition, but not exactly and all of the mentioned fixes don’t seem to work.
When I try to open the log and capture window in FCP i get a message explaining that an error occured while configuring QT using my current capture preset.
I am coming from a digibeta deck into an AJA iO box, a hardware connection i use all the time.
I have two g5s here side by side and if I transfer the AJA connection over to the other system no problem, but on my system i always get this error.
I have reinstalled QT 7.0.1, and can capture via firewire from other decks.
please help, if i can’t capture video my computer is virtually worthless

Are you sure you have the io drivers installed on the ‘bad’ machine? If not, uninstall then reinstall.
