AJA io and iMac G5
Posted by Nielsenr on November 25, 2005 at 2:30 pmHi.
Will an AJA io work with the iMac G5 (2 GHZ)?
Best regards, Rasmus Nielsen.

November 25, 2005 at 6:38 pmYes it will, as it works on the firewire 400 port. The only problem is that you cant put anything else on the firewire bus with i,t as it doesn’t work very well with other devices including ext firewire drives.

November 29, 2005 at 8:52 amIs it true (I got this answer from AJA Support) that the USB/FW bus on the iMac is shared, so I can’t aven use a USB-drive alongside the IO?
If so, is there any way to use any kind of external storage on an iMac with an AJA IO attached (the iMac doesn’t have PCMCIA og PCI-slots).
/Rasmus.
