We just bought the Aja HDP HD-SDI to DVI converter box to feed a 1080 consumer LCD for client viewing.

Coming from a 1080 23.98 signal – picture looks great. But I’m seeing these “ghost” frames between edits sometimes. It’s REALLY had to describe, because it’s just this barely there “flash.”

Could it be artifacts from the HDP having to turn 24frames into 60? But wouldn’t those just be duplicate frames so why would I see these ghosts?

Or could it be the refresh rate on the LCD not letting go of the last frame fast enough? It’s a brand new Bravia XBR, so I don’t assume it’s got bad response time.

any thoughts from HDP owners would be great. Thanks!!!
