    Please advise:

    I have a Quad (Power PC G5) and a MacBook Pro (Intel), I use them with the AJA IO LA/LD. But have no drivers install as of now.

    When I check the website they have version V3 (13mb ZIp Archive). My question is

    The latest version of the drivers will be just fine.

    AJA VTR Exchange is a capture utility for people that don’t have Final Cut Pro, or don’t want to use Final Cut Pro as their capture utility. You can download it if you need it, but it’s not necessary to have.

    One reason to install VTR Exchange is it allows you to capture still frames. Also if you machine/storage is fast enough you can also capture as file sequences (ie. TGA).
