Of course, what still is great about our AJA Io’s is that they worked great with PCI G4’s/G5’s, the PCI-X G5’s, the new PCIe G5’s, and they’re going to work with the Intel Mac’s. Many of us knew when the Io was first released that it would have longevity and compatibility that the internal capture cards just couldn’t match and I’m glad to see that we were right. The Io continues to be a great SD capture device. Take nothing away from the great Kona cards. I use Kona cards in addition to my Io’s (on the same Mac) so I have the best of both worlds with tons of connections for all my SD decks and other gear, plus HD from the Kona cards when I need it. Cool times we’re living in.
