AJ-HDX900E 25P Over 50i
I’m a FCP editor working with a self shooting director using a AJ-HDX900E. He’s decided to shoot some scenes in 25P over 50i to go along with the 1080i 50i footage he’s already captured. I’m using a AJ-HD1400 Deck and a ioHD AJA to capture in FCP.
Is this the “best” way to acquire progressive footage in this work-flow, and if so what setting should I use to capture. If Panasonic has a System Mode of 1080-50i how can it also be 25p. The whole 25p over 50i is what has me confused.

Just capture as 50i. It just works….
