Hello everyone. This is a question about the Panasonic AJ-HD1400. Is it possible to connect an HDV camera into it via Firewire/iLink and either make a recording or (hopefully) use the 1400 as a converter thru the SD/HD-SDI outputs? There’s a input switch on the front, but it contunues to blink after connecting a camera and rolling tape.
Menu Setting or is it a no-go?

    Thanks,
    Skeris

This will not work. The HDV device is sending out a compressed HDV and what the Panasonic wants to see at the 1394 input is DVCPRO HD.

    Best,

Thanks, Jan. It’s a nice machine all the same.
