I have a really simple illustrator document with a logo on it. I just need it in Cinema 4D. When i tried it before i only got a gray colored plane. Is there any way to get rid of the background of the document in illustrator, becuase that seems to be my biggest issue. Thanks for all the help!

The Illustrator was saved as version 8? Only splines come into C4D not fills or backgrounds.

I apologize, i am not an Illustrator User, i’m more of a Photoshop person. So is whatever image i have loaded in Illustrator already a spline? IF not, how do i make it one?

The only way to do it really well is to do the splines in Illustrator yourself (using the image as a guide), unless you can find a vector version of your logo somewhere. Otherwise, you could use Live Trace (I read it better than the old Trace tool) in Illustrator but the results are not likely going to be good enough to look good in C4D once you extrude it.

Hmmm….okay that’s gonna be a tough one, but I guess i’ll try doing the spline myself. Thanks for all the help!
