Aha! (Media Mangler issue solution)

Didn’t see this anywhere, and it’s only one solution for one problem, but maybe someone besides myself had to face it…
Seems that on my ORT file capture, if the resulting file is greater than 2 gigs in size, the write permission for the owner is not set.This will result in a “file locked” message from the Media Manager if you try to create actual clips from subclips.
Just set the permission for the owner to “write” and you’re good to go.

yes, it’s hfs+. (Of course, it could have just been a fluke that write permission got turned off… but in any case, if the symptom comes up, it’s worth looking at permissions, esp. considering that the file isn’t, despite the wording of the message, locked…
