  again offline files and wrong “timcode” exports-premiere cs5

  I posted this question sevral times but the problem keep coming back:

  every few projects when I open the project I’ve been working on, a file or two on the timeline
  are offline (and no change was done to the directory offcourse ). latley the problem is that only after the export when I watch the movie, I noticed parts of it are just different then what I’ve edit and all from the same “damaged” file- I get different edit from that file.

  the way I solve it at the moment is to duplicate the file and give it a new name, then when I replace it in project window the “timecode”\in and out are back to normal or the file is not offline in the timeline.

  I work on a PC windows 7 cs5 and I’m importing xdcam files (now from media browser only)
  please if anyone knows this problem and solution, it’s really hard to work like this

  p.s. I noticed some files in the folder (of what I get from the photographer) are double once or twice-meaning its the same footage with different name… maybe thats part of the problem?
