AG-HVX200 purchase question
Posted by Rumpot on March 29, 2007 at 11:50 pmI see the deal for the free 8GB P2 ends tomorrow, and was going to purchase the camera, but do you think the price will drop after NAB?

March 30, 2007 at 12:41 amTheoretically the 8 GB cards are on special because they’re being cleared out. Panasonic should be introducing 16 GB cards at NAB for the same price point. 32 GB cards should be out by the end of the year.

March 30, 2007 at 1:28 amThanks, thats good to know, I was just wondering if they were gonna drop the price of the camera, cause of some new model or something. But it seems a good deal now, well till tomorrow to get a 8GB card as bonus.

March 30, 2007 at 7:17 pmIs there a difference in models that I see online? I have found prices that range from $2000-6000. All claim to have a full US 1 yr warranty, or is this some type of scam. I was looking @ Broadway photo( https://bwayphoto.com ) they list it @ $3125.

March 30, 2007 at 10:44 pmbroadway phot/digital liquidators…etc are all scam artists.
BEWARE!!!
Under no condition buy from them.1-They are imports/gray market
2-When you place your order they use high preassure sales tactics to get you to buy junk.
3-They leave out something like a ac adapter and sell that for $280+$200 for shipping
4-Regardless of what they say there is NO Us warranty.
5-If you place your order and buy nothing but the camera you will get an e-mail saying the item is out of stock and you have to wait 6 months.Buy only from auth dealers.

March 30, 2007 at 10:58 pmThat is good to know…I did call one vendor and the same thing happened you described, they were out of stock, but had “professional” packages available for the regular price. What is the difference between the import models and the regular ones? You would think they are all made in the same place(Taiwan or Hong Kong), why are US ones much more expensive?
I guess I’ll need to save some more and get a us one..
I guess the old saying is true, “If it seems to good to be true, it is!”
