    Hello,

My son has a Panasonic AG-HVX200 camera.

We have tried to connect it via firewire to a MacBook computer to record from Final Cut Pro or to capture to Final Cut Pro.

The computer indicates that there is no connection at the 1394.

We tried a different camera with the same firewire and it works OK, so our problem points at the camera.

We follow the manual but do not get it to communicate with the computer at all.

We reach a screen that reads: 1394 DISCONNECT.

Could we please receive the steps needed to make this camera “talk” and “be seen” by the computer?

    Thanks,

    Bert Delgado

IF one camera works, and the other doesn’t, and you have things set up right…I’d see about taking the camera in for service.

You know, you can also connect via USB. Just switch from 1394 to USB…then you can go through the same process.

GETTING ORGANIZED WITH FINAL CUT PRO DVD…don’t miss it.

Thanks, I shall try the USB connection and see if we can make it work.
