Just recently during our filming sessions, the color on our camera has started cycling through the blue spectrum to the red/ yellow spectrum and if you speed up the video it looks like some messed up street light. During the same sessions we were forced through limited availability to switch from exclusively fujifilm tapes to sony and another brand of tape. We don’t know what the problem is and would love some advice. Thanks ahead of time.

Most likely clogged heads due to the new tape stock- try running a head cleaner.

Noah, do you run the head cleaner on a regular basis, or only as needed when a problem arises? I just exceeded 40 hours and still haven’t used the head cleaner with the thought that if problems aren’t there…. don’t mess with it.

I run it about every 5-10 hours or so.

You mean how long do you run the head cleaner? Typically playing it from 5-10 seconds does the job.
