Activity Forums Panasonic Cameras AG-DVC60

We got the AG-DVC60, and I presume the same tech spec holds true for it in that respect:

Do these cameras have a compressor or limiter across the audio channels? We used the XLR inputs the other day (connecting 2 unrelated [as in not a stereo signal] radio mics to it, and it totally messed it up. It did sound like the camera was compressing the signals, but as they are not related (one: audience; the other main speaker) it resulted in a complete mess regarding the audio levels.

I couldn’d find anything in the manula labout it (or did I miss it)?

    Thanks,
    Nik C

For some reason Panasonic designed this camera without an auto gain/limiter found on every other camcorder. It is an odd and annoying oversight that prevents this camera from being really great. It’s on every other camera they make; it’s strange that they left if off of this one.
