AG-CX350 remote zoom problem
Hi,
I have been having problem with remote zoom control for CX350. Good old Manfrotto 521 and other Manfrotto version doesn’t work in any good way. Slow is ok, but speed remains slow for 80-90% of the push lenght of the button. Then it accelerate slow to fast with only a couple of millimeters push. It is imposible to make any type of normal zoom shooting for sports or on stage whatever. Pushing zoom lever on camera works just like any other camera, accelerating the more you push button.
We have tried two CX350 and two Manfrotto zoom remote, same poor result with any of these.
Has anyone out there tried any remote zoom and do you get the same problem?Best,

I’m using the Magnus VC-20-SCP remote zoom with my AG-CX350. It works pretty well, but does have a little bit of a jump in speed at certain points. It’s not as smooth in variability as the rocker switch on the camera, but if you choose a speed, it is consistent. Oddly enough, this remote works only when the switch is set to “S” for Sony, versus the “P” for Panasonic.
