    HI,
    in 3D, can I control the movement on an axis seperately than the other axis, like changing the Y position without adding a keyframe on the Z position?

    This is anoying!

    I think we’re talking about separating the three axes, maybe by using that preset (somewhere among AE’s presets) or tying X, Y and Z values to three slider controls (expression controls) with expressions.

    No. Unlike in 3D programs, position is a compound property. Lieke Steve said, find yourself the preset and apply it as a workaround.
