Im going to buy a new computer but i dont know which one to choose. A Mac or a PC. My budget is around 1500 EURO. I work very much with AE, Photoshop, Maya, adobe Audition and graphic, Macromedia flash, dreamweaver.
    I dont play games.
Mac or a PC? i mean both of them are great if you pay alot, for example a pc with 2GB ram 512 MB graphic and 3,2GHz cpu is very fast.
Im not sure which one too choose.
Which one would you choosed if you had 1500 Euro? why?

Unless you’re looking at an iMac or Macbook as an alternative, for 1500 you won’t be able to buy a Mac Pro.

Other than Audition which isn’t available on OSX all your tools will run on both platforms. If you’re already working on Windows, I don’t see a specific reason to switch.

keep in mind, your 1500 won’t go very far if you need to get different versions of your software to run on a different platform.

currently ae will run better in windows than osx on an intel mac (i’ve read that ae runs better in windows on a mac pro than it does in osx on the same mac pro). that may change with the next version of ae, but i bet they’ll be pretty equal.

unless there is a specific reason you want to change platforms, i would stick with what you’re on.

For 1500 I’d upgrade your current PC as much as poss…even if you need a new motherboard, etc. it would still save you a bit to spend on more memory, faster proc, etc. If you’re going for a multiprocessor, you use AE alot and you have

Don’t buy a computer based on money alone.
Choose the operating system you want to live with for the long term.
