December 16, 2005 at 10:00 pmBy checking everything in render all (which we do ALL the time) you would still need to render the timeline BEFORE you Edit to Tape (ETT) otherwise ETT will render again and it is a virtual render that is lost as soon as the tape layoff ends, meaning you would have to wait for the virtual render everytime you layoff.
About the render during ETT even when everything is fully rendered problem you originally posted, I have that occasionally as well and I too found that it was disabled clips that were the culprit. In other words a full rendered Timeline that you are ready to Edit to Tape, it will often stop and render a completely useless renders of an invisible clips. I call that a BUG.

December 16, 2005 at 11:46 pmI have looked closely buy no disabled clips. Unless they are truly invisible there must be another problem. Possibly something caused when I select and copy clips from one timeline to another.
