Recently while attempting to print to a DVcam deck, it was noticed that we have lost all of our firewire options. We have a a Kona 3 installed and have all of those options as well as the matrox options for external viewing.

We also attempted to log and capture but it could not find the firewire. Even in the audio-video settings it has disappeared.

We don’t use DV or DVCAM very often, but it was frustrating because we were forced to transfer all of our files to a laptop and print from there.

Is this what is supposed to happen once you have installed the Kona card?

We are running studio 2 on an 8-core 3.0 macpro, 4 gigs ram, Caldigit HDPRO, and Kona 3.

    Thanks

It should be there. DV NTSC (or DV PAL).

Make sure when you hit control-q that all formats and all frame rates are selected from the drop down menus.

I’m sure you’re not looking at all your Easy Setup options. Just follow Jeremy’s advice.

    Thanks for the advice guys,
we are getting ready to move our office so I haven’t had a chance to check out the suggestion yet,
but I definitely was looking at everything in the audio/video settings including easy set-up.

There is probably just something funny in the settings somewhere. I will keep looking

    Thanks again.
