After FX Compositing
I’m new to cinema 4D and there’s something I can’t figure out. I’ve tracked a sequence with Boujou and I exported the camera solve from Boujou in a c4d project file. I need to create a 3D element which is a text to composite it into the shot. I have no problem at all creating the text with the camera movement. My problem is how do I create a texture that has no alpha except for the shadows. I need the whole picture to have no alpha except for the text and the shadows.

Sounds like you need to use ShadowCatcher. This tutorial should get you started.
