Im going to try to change the graphics card, I have a 7300GT that lays around here somewhere, but Im still going to need to have the 8800GT compatible with AFX, since Im gaiming, and the 7300GT is not a permanent option.. I found out that if I remove the After Effects prefrences files in the application data folder, so all settings are default, it lasts 1 second longer before it freezes, don’t know if it’s to any help, but it might do something..

If you have gaming software on your drive…

That could very well be the source of your problem…

You need a clean re-install of both OS and Adobe software (only) to be certain.

I don’t know how to fix your problem, so I just throw out some ideas to you…
Have you tried to change your video driver? Or, try install XP instead of XP…Any other sofware that crashes?
