After Effects Track Camera crashes After Effects
I am trying to track a clip with the built in 3D Camera Tracker and it always hangs up AE (greys out the screen) and will not respond until I restart.
The first time I tried it was stuck at one percent and when I tried to restart the track it crashed. The second time it tracked the whole thing but got stuck at 100% with the “Tracking camera” banner on screen.I am running AE 2015 (13.6.1)
i7 6700K
GTX 960
16GB RAMThanks for any help.

What format and codec is the footage you’re trying to use?

I am tracking it using the native format from the camera. Which is already compressed. Would re-encoding really help?

Try transcoding that into a production codec (like QuickTime with the PNG codec). Often, AE prefers to work with uncompressed footage.
