After Effects to Premiere – Essential Graphics Question
I have a question about the essential graphics panel within After Effects and Premiere. Would there by any chance be a way to export an essential graphics template (.mogrt) from AE to Premiere using plugins?
For example, I created a title within AE using the plugin Element 3D. When testing the template within Premiere on my machine, everything works fine. However, when I sent to a friend to test on his machine, the effect didn’t render properly and had a white box in place where the text should be.
Is there a way around this? He does not have Element 3D installed on his machine but I see people selling 3D Premiere presets all the time.

Both systems must have the 3rd party plugin installed. It’s no different to how fonts work. It’s a separate piece of software and it is required during previews and rendering.
As for 3D Premieire stuff, buyers know they need to have 3rd party plugins installed. This has always been the case with templates for as long as they have been around. Quite often, the template producer will provide pre-rendered layer/footage for the buyer to use. This is possible only if the 3rd party plugin plays a sort of a back ground role within the scheme of the template design. IOW, the 3rd party plugin is of course required but no further adjustments are required. It should be noted that if the buyer does have the 3rd party plugin then it is much better as he/she will be able to make adjustments, if they wanted to.

Here’s a link to an example I found online from Motion Array. Apparently whoever is selling this template claims there is no plugin needed. Do you have an idea of how this was achieved?

The description states they are using a pre-rendered 3D scene. That means the scene was very likely created with a 3D app. The logo, the letter “M” looks flat – so only that bit is replaceable, in the template.
