After effects/ Sony Vegas
Hi everyone,
I’ve wanted for a while to be able to transfer my projects from Vegas to AE with the effects and everything.. It’s probably not possible since the effects aren’t the same (although they’re quite similar) but I thought I’d post something here to know if there’s a possibility even to find an alternative : what I’m really trying to do is to transfer my effects preset (a coloring preset I’ve made on Vegas) to AE.
Is there any chance it’s possible?

How did you make the coloring preset in Vegas? Not everything will be a direct translation, but maybe we can get you close.

Ok so what I did was that I applied every effect that I liked and looked good, altered them the way I wanted and then hit the fx button and clicked save as on the right!

Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M -
I doubt we’ll be able to automatically translate that. I see two options:
1) Describe what specific effects you used in Vegas and we can point you to similar or equivalent effects in Ae.
2) Use Red Giant LUT Buddy to build a LUT that describes your look in Vegas and apply it in Ae. You’ll have to write the LUT pattern onto a piece of footage in Ae, render, import to Vegas, apply your preset, render, import to Ae, and read the LUT pattern before exporting a LUT:
