    Hi there,

I am jsut writing for any advice as to why my RAM previews and final renders in both after effects and Premiere seem to be slow.
I am running CS3 on my Intel Core 2 Quad, 4GB Ram and Nvidia 8800GT graphics card system and some times the pc seems to hit a dead end when it comes to viewing work as soon as I make it 3D.
Just wondered if anyone had any advice as to anything I can do to improve CS3’s overall performance?

Have you checked whether your settings under ‘Preferences’ -> ‘Preview’ are ok? Preview using OpenGL, make sure your graphics card has the latest drivers or if you are using beta drivers, switch to non-beta drivers.

And check the ‘Memory & Multi-Processing’ tab under ‘Preferences’. Maybe changing the amount of RAM available per processor might change things.

Check if your hard drive isn’t running low on disk space!
