    Hi guys,

I am trying to animate the glass of a picture frame breaking. Using the shatter effect on a low-opacity white solid, this looks fine, but the glass does not fall beyond the boundary of the solid. I have tried pre-comping the solid but this does not seem to help. Making the solid bigger and masking it would possibly work but then i wouldnt be left with a few shards that dont move in the picture frame!

any help you can offer would be much appreciated.

    cheers,

    dan

Just apply the Grow Bounds effect before Shatter. Increase Pixels parameter until you get what you need.
