  • After Effects Shapes – Start Scale and End Scale??? To make branches from strokes?

Posted by Jhem Murray on August 30, 2012 at 5:31 pm

    Hi

I can’t see any option to separately scale the start and end points of a stroke shape, to create a sort of branch or tentacle effect…I refuse to believe it doesn’t exist…Basically I want my stroke shape to start out thick but then get thinner towards the end…Is there any expressions I can use to resolve this problem?

    Thanks a lot in advance

I just can’t believe they have all those options but nothing to perform such a simple task of course I may be wrong

    Mr. Murray
You can use Write-on effect to make branches from stokes as Mr. LaRonde has said.
Here is the link for tutorial:

Also to make branches look more organic, try to use “Liquify effect”.
