My out-put from AFX is not the quality that’s normal. I’ve switched systems from a Matrox DTV DVCPro 50-Adobe Premiere 6.0-Dual 333 NT Box TO an AJA IO-FCP 5.0- Mac Dual 2.5 System 10.4.2. I’m still outputting to DV PRO 50, capturing from a Panasonic Veri Cam HD down converted to SD via the AJA IO. I’d like to know what someone with a similar computer set is using as their OUTPUT SETTING for AFX? i.e. Render Settings & Output Module? Would be much appriciated.

Assuming your AE output will be added to the FCP timeline for output, use Animation codec at 100% Best quality. So it’s lossless RGB which FCP will render back to what it needs in the timeline.

Of course if you need an alpha channel, turn it on and make sure the output is set to Millions of Colors+. The + meaning an alpha channel is included.
