  • After Effects SD/HD output, luma/chroma variation when using Kona2

We have noted on both our Kona2 systems when we toggle between a HD and SD output from After Effects (changing video preview in the preferences area) a fairly significant luma and chroma shift. When you do the same monitoring switch in FCP the image translates with no perceptual difference. Our monitor is SD/HD switchable (a Sony LMD).

The test gear scopes show no change.

Can anyone else confirm if they get this result? It is making any grading decisions in AE very difficult when onlining in HD.

    Thank you for you help.
