After Effects Saying Quicktime Is Not Installed
I have Quicktime X and 7 installed and when After Effects is starting up it says that Quicktime is not installed, and this problem has just started because After Effects was working absolutely fine before. After Effects will start but I am unable to make my movie. Any thoughts?

Yes. As well as re-installing Quicktime as well as After Effects itself

This has been an issue with many CS5 installs on the Mac.
Since CS5 is 64 bit, but uses a 32 bit version of QuickTime, Adobe initiates a process called QT32 Server.
If this file (QT32 Server) isn’t in the correct location, or your Firewall settings don’t allow it to communicate with After Effects, it can result in the error you’re experiencing.
Sometimes repairing permissions fixes it.
There are several solutions depending on the precise nature of the problem. This has been covered (and continues to be covered) at the Adobe After Effects forum. Many After Effects users have had this same issue.

I’m not sure if it’s in the right location, how can I find out? I do not have a firewall turned on, and I just ran Disk Utilities to repair the permissions and still not working.

Hello everyone !
I have Windows 7 / 64b, and as far as I have read in other various posts, Quicktime has not developed yet a 64b version. CS6 needs Quicktime 7+, so i just installed Quicktime 7.1 and it works. Mostly, this problem comes from the fact theat on Quicktime website, you can only download the latest version. (7.73.80 etc)

its very simple just disable(no need to uninstall) BlueStacks (Android apps) and restart u r After Effect , it will works. I m also face this problem but now I fix it by disable BlueStacks software.

I solve this problem by turning my FireWall OFF. consequently, I have to work Offline to avoid any attack to my computer.
