After Effects Render Issues
I have a quicktime movie rendered out in a DVCPro50 codec, 720 x 480. That movie look fine when I import in directly back into Final Cut Pro 5.0.1.
The problem I’m having is exporting the same clip from an After Effects project with those same DVCPro50, 720 x 480 without the video being compromised.
The video levels are hot when I bring the exported After Effects clip back into Final Cut Pro.
I have tried correcting the levels before exporting the clip, but all efforts to match the original video have failed.Is there anyone who has come across this problem?

Have you checked if the file was exported correctly in the first place? I’m not on a Mac and don’t use FCP, but it quite well may be that it expands the levels on export, but stures meta-data so it un-expands them on its own files. In addition, check your Photoshop settings. If you are using color profiles, your colors will completely go out of whack. Eitehr turn off color calibration entirely (which I recommend for any work on video based stuff), or use a standard RGB profile.
